Ingredients of Sunday lunch

  1. Prepare 1 1/2 kg of chicken pieces.
  2. You need 5 of roughly chopped onions.
  3. You need 5 of tomatoes.
  4. It's 2 tablespoon of curd.
  5. It's 1 teaspoon of turmeric powder.
  6. Prepare 1 teaspoon of red chilli powder.
  7. You need 1 tsp of garam masala powder.
  8. Prepare 1 tablespoon of jeera dhania (cumin Coriander )powder.
  9. It's 1/4 cup of garlic.
  10. It's 1 piece of ginger.
  11. Prepare 2 of bay leaves.
  12. Prepare 1/2 teaspoon of hing/asafoetida.
  13. It's 1 teaspoon of jeera/cumin seeds.
  14. It's To taste of salt.
  15. It's As needed of water.
  16. It's As needed of mustard oil.
  17. Prepare 1 teaspoon of black pepper powder.
  18. It's As needed of rice.

Sunday lunch step by step

  1. Blend onions, garlic, ginger,tomatoes and keep aside. Take a bowl put chicken pieces, curd,turmaric powder, red chilli powder, little salt, jeera dhania powder, garam masala powder, mix with chicken pieces throughly. and keep rest for one hour..
  2. Boil oil in heated kadhai,add bay leaves, jeera and hing,grated garlic saute for two minutes..
  3. Add blended onion mixture mix well. Saute until the gravy is browned and oil comes out from the gravy..
  4. Now put chicken with masala mix.add black pepper powder, saute in high flame, for ten minutes but don't get the gravy is burned,saute continuously until it is thickened..
  5. Add two cups of water mix well cover and cook for fifty minutes till done..
  6. Boil water with rice and strain the water,and keep the cooked rice aside..
  7. Lunch is ready, serve in the serving plate..
