Ingredients of Pav Bhaji

  1. Prepare of pav bhaji spice mix.
  2. Prepare 1 tbsp of cumin (zeera).
  3. Prepare 1 tbsp of coriander seeds (sabit dhania).
  4. Prepare 1 tbsp of fennel seeds (sonf).

  8. Prepare 1/2 piece of nutmeg (jaifal).
  9. It's 1/4 tsp of mace (javitri).
  10. Prepare 4-5 cloves of (long).
  11. It's 5-6 of whole red chillies (sabit laal mirch).
  12. It's 1 tsp of black peppercorns (sabit kali mirch).
  13. Prepare 1/2 tsp of black salt (kaala namak).
  14. You need 1/2 tsp of turmeric powder (haldi).
  15. Prepare 1 tbsp of dried mango powder (amchuur/khataai powder).
  16. It's of chilli paste.
  17. It's 4-5 cloves of garlic.
  18. It's 1 piece of ginger.
  19. You need 1 of Kashmiri red chilli.
  20. Prepare 3 tbsp of water (as required).
  21. It's of bhaji ingredients.
  22. It's 2-3 of potatoes.
  23. It's 2-3 of tomatoes.
  24. It's 2 of onions.
  25. Prepare 1 of capsicum medium.
  26. You need 1/2 cup of peas.
  27. Prepare 1/2 of carrot diced.
  28. You need 1/2 cup of cauliflower florets (phool gobhi).

  33. Prepare 2 tbsp of prepared pav bhaji masala.

  1. Dry roast all except haldi, amchuur, and black salt. After roasting, cool and add to grinder..
  2. In grinder, with all dry roast ingredients, add haldi, amchuur and black salt. Grind to a fine powder. Pav bhaji spice mix is ready. Store in separate bottle..
  3. Soak Kashmiri chilli in water for 5 minutes. In grinder, add garlic, ginger, and soaked chilli, and grind to form a paste. Keep aside..
  4. Assemble bhaji ingredients. Boil potatoes, peas and cauliflower till tender. Dice potatoes..
  5. Melt half butter in pan and add chopped onion. Fry till translucent. Add chopped tomatoes and diced carrots. Add little water and cook till tender. Dice capsicum..
  6. When tomatoes and carrots are soft, add potatoes cauliflower and peas. Cook for a while, and then mash all..
