Ingredients of Dabeli

  1. You need 2 of Buns.
  2. It's 2 of Potato (boiled and mashed).
  3. Prepare 2 tablespoon of Peanuts (roasted).
  4. Prepare 4 of Dry red chilli (2 roasted and 2 soaked in water for 40-50 min).
  5. Prepare 2-3 of Garlic cloves.
  6. You need 1 of Green chilli (finely chopped).
  7. It's 1 of Cinnamon (roasted).
  8. Prepare 1 teaspoon of Cumin seeds (roasted).
  9. You need 1/2 teaspoon of Coriander seeds (roasted).
  10. Prepare 1 teaspoon of Lime juice.
  11. Prepare To taste of Salt.
  12. It's 2 tablespoon of Nylon Sev.
  13. You need 1 of Onion (finely chopped).
  14. It's 2 tablespoon of Tamarind-dates chutney.
  15. Prepare 1 pinch of Asafoetida.
  16. Prepare 1 tablespoon of Dry coconut (grated).
  17. Prepare 1 tablespoon of Butter.

  1. For dabeli masala, in a pan dry roast dry red chilli, cinnamon, cumin seeds and coriander seeds and make fine powder of it..
  2. For red chilli-garlic chutney, grind soaked red chilli, garlic, lime juice and salt into fine paste and mix water if needed..
  3. In a pan, heat some oil and add asafoetida, green chilli and cumin seeds into and allow it to crackle..
  4. Then add onion into it and saute it for 2-3 min and add tamarind-dates chutney, potato, peanuts and salt into it and mix it well..
  5. Now cut bun into two halves and spread tamarind-dates chutney and garlic chutney on inner side of both the halves..
  6. Meanwhile, mix dry coconut In the potato mixture and spread it over the bun and top it with nylon sev and cover it with another half..
  7. Now heat little butter in a pan and cook your dabeli from both the sides and switch of the flame. Your dabeli is ready now..
