Go up the stairs. Rather than using an elevator, walk up the stairs to the floor you live or work on. While this will be hard to do if you live on or if your job is on a super high level floor in a skyscraper, taking the stairs to a home or office on, say, the fifth floor is totally do-able. Even if you do live or work on one of the top floors, you can still get out of the elevator first and climb up the stairs the rest of the way. Most people will decide to be sluggish and take an elevator instead of choosing exercise on the stairs. That just one flight of stairs—when taken a few times a day—can be just the extra boost that your system needs.
Water is the most effective beverage out there. Having a soda or a cup of coffee every occasionally isn’t a bad idea. It is definitely, however, a bad idea to only drink soda or coffee. Choosing water instead of other beverage adds to your body's health and helps it stay hydrated. This also helps you lower your caloric intake by hundreds of points without having to buy and eat terrible diet foods. Water is often the key to successful weight loss and healthfulness.
There are plenty of things you can go after to become healthy. An expensive gym membership and very restrictive diets are not the only way to do it. It is the little things you choose day after day that really help you with weight loss and getting healthy. Being smart about the choices you make each day is a start. Getting as much physical exercise as possible is another factor. The numbers on the scale aren't the only indication of your health levels. It has more to do with making your body as powerful as it can be.
