Ingredients of Golden plaits

  1. You need 10 g of dry yeast.
  2. You need 1 tbsp of sugar.
  3. You need 600 ml of lukewarm milk.
  4. It's 1 kg of plain white flour.
  5. You need 80 g of butter.
  6. It's 2 tsp of salt.

Golden plaits step by step

  1. Blend the yeast and sugar with 125ml milk. Cover and leave for 15min.
  2. Add the yeast mixture to the flour,the remaining milk,salt and butter and knead to a workable dough..
  3. Cover and leave to rise in a warm place for 1 hour.
  4. Knead the dough again and divide into 6 portions.
  5. Place pn a lightly floured surface and shape each portion into long strips. Lay 3 strips together and make into a plait. Repeat for the second plait.
  6. Butter the baking sheet place the plaits on it, cover and leave to rise for 30minutes. Brush the plaits with egg yolk and sugar.
  7. Bake at 180'c for 40minutes. Serve very fresh it's 😋😋👍.
