Ingredients of Tuna fish frikkadel

  1. You need 2 cans of tuna in brine.
  2. It's 5 tbsp of breadcrumbs or 2 slices of bread grated.
  3. It's 1 of carrot.
  4. Prepare 1 of onion.
  5. It's 1 of egg.
  6. It's 1 tsp of chilli powder.
  7. Prepare 2 tbsp of barbeque spice.
  8. It's 1/2 tsp of cumin.
  9. You need 1/2 of coriander.
  10. It's 1/2 tsp of pepper.
  11. Prepare 1/4 tsp of turmeric.
  12. You need 1 pinch of salt.
  13. It's of Small bunch of dhanya.

Tuna fish frikkadel instructions

  1. Drain the tuna and add to a medium sized bowl..
  2. Grate carrot and add to the bowl..
  3. Chop onion and tomato fine and add to the bowl along with egg with the breadcrumbs and spices - chilli powder, barbeque spice, cumin, coriander, pepper, turmeric, salt..
  4. Wash dhanya thoroughly. Then mix all the ingredients well..
  5. With a tablespoon, scoop about 1 - 2 tablespoons of the mixture and shape for a few seconds into a ball..
  6. Once all the mixture is in balls, put on a tray and slightly press down till it resembles a sort of flat circle (should be about 2cm high)..
  7. Set aside for 10 minutes..
  8. Turn your stove on medium heat and wait till it heats up then add your frikkadel..
  9. Shallow fry them, flipping sides occasionally till golden brown..
  10. Transfer the frikkadel into a dish with paper towels to absorb any extra oil..
  11. If your mixture is very wet, just add more breadcrumbs. *This recipe makes 19 tuna fish frikkadel Serve with rice, mashed potatoes, tomato bredie, and fried potatoes. Enjoy :).
