Go up the stairs. Instead of selecting the elevator, climb the stairs to your floor. Obviously this isn’t as plausible if you work on the 25th floor of a high rise, but if you work on the fourth, climbing the stairs is a fantastic way to get some exercise in. Even if you do live or work on one of the higher floors, you can still get out of the elevator early and climb up the stairs the rest of the way. So many people choose the elevator over clambering even a single flight of stairs. Even if you only have one flight to climb, climbing down and up it during the day is a great way to get additional exercise.

Drink water, not alternative drinks. Soda and coffee, when consumed in moderation, aren't that bad. Using them for your only source of hydration, however, is dumb. Ingesting water instead of other forms of drinks is a good way to help your body in its health and hydration. This also helps you decrease your caloric intake by hundreds of points without having to buy and eat disgusting diet foods. Water is usually one of the keys to really losing weight and leading a healthful lifestyle.

There are all kinds of things that you can do to get healthy. An overpriced gym membership and very restrictive diets are not the only way to do it. You can do little things each day to improve upon your health and lose weight. Being intelligent when you choose your food and actions is where it begins. Getting as much exercise as possible is another factor. The numbers on the scale aren't the only signal of your healthfulness. You really want your body to be powerful too.
